East Lothian Dog Training Club runs regular 8 week pet dog training classes throughout the year at Aberlady on Wednesday evenings. These classes are designed to promote the Kennel Club Good Dog Citizen Scheme, the UK’s largest dog training programme.
It is our aim in running our training classes to promote good behaviour and enjoyable dog ownership, using only kindness and encouragement. We will show you gentle methods, which are helpful in these respects and will also assist you in resolving any problem areas, which you may have come up against already.
Our goal is to help owners to get more pleasure and enjoyment from their dogs by promoting good training. With a little effort on your part and some help from us, you could be the owner of a happy healthy dog whom you can take anywhere, is well behaved and fun to be with!
Whether puppies, which have just completed their vaccinations, or unruly adolescents or even an older dog that requires some problem addressed we can help you train your dog. If your dog has any specific problem that may upset you in a class situation, please feel free to contact one of our instructors who will be able to give you some help before you attend. Of course, serious cases may need specialist help, which we can advise on if necessary.
Our instructors have various dog training instructing qualifications and certificates in canine psychology and are constantly updating their canine knowledge.
Due to unforeseeable circumstances we have had to cancel the obedience classes for the time being. Please keep an eye on the website for further information about when we can run classes again.
